The Harry Hutson collection is the sum of forty years of research into the conflict between U-Boats and the Merchant Navy during World War II. It is made up of personal survivor reports; interrogation reports; technical details of the ships and the U-Boats; dates; times; places; facts; figures.

A human history

Nature does not decide, just before a World War, to breed special generations of men and women particularly suited to the task. The people in this history were as real as you and I and they had no more room in their lives for war, death, destruction, heroism and history-making than you or I would do if circumstances rang the doorbell right now.
